Mixture of everything, my life in 2010

Another 365 days have passed and today is the last day of the year 2010. Unlike others, celebrating with friends at parties, chilling in clubs and shout for the last 10 seconds count down, I spent my last day at home without a single step across the door. Instead, I did some reading and I started to recall what did I achieve this year. Did I squander the precious 365 days or I utilized the time fully?

Let's find out what have I done this year

If you know me really well, you will know my passion in music and how much I love it. A total of 1 year and 9months practice comes to the end in March. ( or April? ) My grade 5 practical exam at City Bay View hotel.

Woot ? A 21-year-old guy taking grade 5 exam !? What a shame ?
Uh ? I don't think so. I am proud of myself, gaining a grade 5 ABRSM cert is not a huge achievement to many, but it's my very own recognition and consolation in music. I stopped learning the piano after the exam but my passion to music never fades, it grows with me.

You think you are too old for anything? Come'on, music doesn't discriminate

The kids from the music centre

Hahah, the old me !

Thank you Mr.Eric who unselfishly putting effort in me.

Diploma Graduation ( TARc )
Three year time is a "not-long-not-short" journey in life. I once regretted so much that I did badly in my SPM and also didn't proceed to ACCA course directly which is shorter in studies period. Regret no more, I would rather say I appreciate the experience more compared to the academy.

- College environment in TARc is something you can never be found in ACCA tuition provider
- My foster family who "adopted" me during my Community Service activity
- The people, the clique, the foes and the clown

It's simply an unforgettable memory in my life.

Even my grandma attended my graduation ! ^^

My foster family. I hope to visit them again soon

Our last gathering at Hardwicke.

Lone traveler in Singapore
I had my first time traveling alone to Singapore. It's quite adventurous to me as I had totally no idea where shall I go, what I must do during the custom and I am not familiar with Singapore at all. Information from the Internet helped me a lot and the journey is amazing. It's not the place that attracted me the most, it's the people along the journey opened my eyes.

Traveling is a learning process, you never know what will happen next and you always learn and grow. That's why I love traveling :)

The lone traveler

Meeting Pear in Bugis

Four attempts of Interview.

Introduced and influenced by my sister, I open my heart to the job, steward. I realized how well the job fit me perfectly. I had four attempts before I finally made it to the final round.

1) I went for Qatar interview in KL with Elwin, Ginger and my sister. Elwin and I struggled for few weeks, couldn't sleep properly because we put in a lot of hopes and effort. - FAIL !!

2) Emirate interview in Singapore. Damn the what Atlantic agency from Singapore ! They told me they were taking in male candidates but no single male get chosen. Wasted my time, money and effort for it. Some worse, they actually took flight from Philippine to Singapore just to attend the interview. However, it's a great experience for me as I met a lot of friends from Singapore, Philippine, Thailand and Korea who share the same dream with me. - FAIL !!

3) SIA interview in Singapore with Elwin. Thanks to my braces. - FAIL !!

4) SIA interview in Ipoh. Taadaa. Thank you very much to everyone who were there for me in Kampar. - PASS !!

Why I choose to be a steward? Simply because of money? Let's see
- Travelling, do I need to explain more ? x)
- Eye opener that helps me to spot business opportunity easier next time
- Good pay, unfair advantage for my entrepreneurship ( Yeah, Wijoyo ! Hehe )
- Improve my interpersonal skill
- Expand of people networking
- Opportunity to explore the world
- I can feed my family faster !

Thank you everyone who support me during my attempts for the jobs. Especially my family, they support me spiritually and financially :)

The friends who supported me during my Ipoh interview. So much appreciated !!

Met April and Cindy during Emirate interview. There are many more :D

SIA interview with Elwin, Chiu Chern and Ying Ming

We had fun after the interview. It was an interesting trip. ^^

Fantastic scene from Marina Bay Sands, F1 circuit race live. Thank you In Jung

Penang Bridge Marathon
I have finished the run as it was one of my targets of the year. My friends didn't make it for the run so I went there alone at 2a.m. in the morning. Finished the run within 2 hours and 55 minutes. It rained heavily in the middle of the run.

It wasn't simply a run, I comprehend some meaning of life in the run. I am really satisfied with it although I was exhausted and alone. Some old photos here =D

Chung Kiang and I completed the race in 2009

Banana smile. Pray hard that I'll be able to join it again in 2011

Hoo Hoo ! ACCA makes us headache. Not a great achievement, I'm just feeling happy that I have finished my F6, F7 and F8. I hope I don't fail any paper, result will be announced in February.

What do I do after the stressful months? Party Slacking Party Slacking !!

Soo Yeang's birthday at the ship

Mansion 69 after dinner

Mois celebrated the end of December exam

Simply natural, Siply love it

Froggie in the car

Being silly at Straits Quay

Acting cool

With Janice at SQ

Oh Santi the aunty

Wijoyo Lee ! I will marry him if we both are gay. hahaha

Wan Ting's last day in Penang. Old friend from Han Chiang.

Catching up Theng and Ah Beng at Nandos

There were still untold stories happened this year but I won't able to jot down everything. At last I know, life is interesting and you'll never be bored with it. It's so wonderful so, don't squander your precious time, be adventurous, live your life the way you want and pursue your dream !

An old picture saying

Mixture of everything, my life :)

Happy new year 2011 !

High in Adrenaline

I am overexcited for the end of my 18 month-old monster teeth(braces).
By the end of next month, I'll be taking it off and I am fully completely thoroughly capable for the interview !! No more failure due to braces, others count still :(

Hahaha, just crapping over here and I need to concentrate on studies right at this moment, otherwise, the interview would make me fail my papers.

Not a joke for last minute student like Jason Law :D

Get set, Go !

I have been dreaming, for four years;
I have been thinking, for three years;
I have been talking, for two years;
I have been waiting, for one year

! NOW !

No more waiting

It is time to prove myself to the world.
Let me do my best, no matter it fails or successes !

Looking forward to see you again, Man Qing :)

Golden Treasure !!

I have never been that excited recently and now, I have found my golden treasure and
I love it soooooooo much !!!

This is a familiar logo to you I believe. Most of us, especially the younger generation spends very much of time on this software, watching movies. Yet I still don't understand how could it work without violating(perhaps, already violated?) the law and regulation since there are uncountable movies available

Anyhow, my point of this post today, is I found something more than a movie.
I just found my favorite programmes in PPS !!!!!!!

I am super super super excited because I enjoy those movies so much but I couldn't wait and sit in front of TV, Astro, anytime !

If you are Natgeo and DiscoveryC fans, follow me, if you lost

Turn on your PPS :)
Look at your bottom left.

You will be able to see “综合频道”, click it !

Now you found the treasure !!
I'll help you translate some of the big name in case you don't understand Chinese, or the Chinese name of the videos.

探索频道-Discovery Channel
国家地理-National Geography Channel
空中浩劫系列-Air Crash Investigation
荒野求生-Men vs Wild
流言终结者-Myth Buster

I really hope someone would share this with me earlier, let's spread around ^^

Dead Dead Dead

I was dead, and I am still dead

But, not anymore, I felt I have stepped out my very first step, something very different and meaningful to me.

I decided to keep track of every move and I make from now onwards.

Stay tune, perhaps, tune it back to my blog :D !

Unworthy business deal

Today morning I went out with my friend, Chia Keat, for a walk in market. He mentioned that he was offered for a job and would be heading for the interview in the afternoon and I asked was there any vacancy for part-timer, yes, there were plenty of vacancies.

He asked me join him for the interview in the afternoon together, I decided to have a look for the job offered. Without any preparation, I went to the office with Chia Keat and Han Yang with only a piece of photocopied IC.

File:Adecco Logo.svg

Adecco is a human resources company from Switzerland and it employs 700,000 temporary workers and contractors, and has 28,500 employess !

Wow, I never knew it is a big company until I reached home searching it via Wikipedia.

The person in charged is friendly, three of us filled in personal details before doing the TEST. Oh test? Yes ! We were given some typing test before being briefed for the detail of the job. The test was basically easy but it was quite challenging and exciting. One of the tests was to type the exact numeric digits showed on the screen, it determines your speed and accuracy. (Too bad, no pictures to show)

As the result,
I got the fastest speed = 10,000+(digits), 200+(errors) an hour
Han Yang = 7,000+(digits), 100+(errors)
Chia Keat = 5,000+(digits), ERROR FREE !!

Oh My God, I can't believe my friend actually made it without error. Even he is a little bit slow, but error free is the most important things for the employers. They don't want us to key in the wrong digit as we will be dealing with digits and cheque.

File:Uis logo trans.png

Unisys, another big company.

That is the company we will be sent over to do data entry work. The person told us that the environment is very strict, not much talking and all the employees are committed to their works. That can be understood as they need to clear all the bank cheques in short hours, everyone will just work work and work !

After being briefed about the working hours and pay, I started to hesitate whether to work or not. The working hour usually is between 3pm to 7pm, average 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday with RM5.50 an hour before EPF and SOCSO deduction. This awkward working hours will ruin my whole day.

In conclusion, working a month earns me additional RM400 in Adecco. In order to earn RM400, I have to forgo my Friday teaching work which almost double the pay from Adecco.

I don't think I am going to trade my precious holiday for RM400 in that working environment. Maybe I miss the opportunity of learning something, but I prefer to utilize my time on my personal interest...

My one month time doesn't not worth ONLY RM400 ! It worth a lot more than that !

Pear & Pound visit ( Long )

Facebook, always is the channel connecting all my friends to me. Days before 25-3-2010, I received a message from Pound saying that he will be visiting Penang with Pear. Oh, they are my Thai schoolmates in Han Chiang High school and I decided to bring them round the island as I am free from hectic schedule right now. Final semester, a honeymoon semester :)

First Day

Who they are?

Haha, here are the naughty faces !

Pound reached Penang in the afternoon and I fetched Pear at the airport at night, 8pm.
We headed to the Pasar Malam in Farlim straight away after fetching Pear.

Here comes my new friend, Namfon, Thai. She is really friendly :)

Biggest fans of Lok Lok

They told me they liked Lok Lok so much, I guess someone's tummy is growing fast !

Qing Bu Liang - Han Chiang old time

Every Han Chiang student knows the stall very well :)

We then went to Sunset for some drinks, too bad I didn't take any photos in Sunset due to Soya rain. I fetched them home and I supposed to sleep at one something, but I stayed awake until 3a.m. due to the lovely Peach Tea from Sunset. Guess what? I met someone in MSN and we decided to hang out together, three hours later after our sleep.

Second Day

Tadaa, this is the guy I met at 3a.m. Chiu Chen !

I picked him from his house then headed to Pound and Pear. I brought them for Penang famous Hokkien Mee behind Penang Plaza, Penangites should know where it located.

Please stop Pound from eating, he never stopped !

Pear looks really cool, hope she enjoyed the noodle ~

Right after this, we headed to Kek Lok Si, not because of the attraction, it was because we had an hour, nothing to do.

Strong sun - Hot weather - Sweaty shirt

The Trio walked to the temple.
This photos is totally out of focus, not sure why. But I learnt a lot for this trip in comparison of D40 and D3000. I seriously experienced how new technology beat old technology :(

Pear and Pound, writing down the name?

Chiu Chen said that the name can be easily wash off by rain, is it true? I am an atheist, I believe no God but myself !

Pound Pai Pai !

He burned himself ! Haha, I can't believe it !

Pear and Jason.

Finally my face appeared ! Thank you so much to CC/Mu? I am not sure. This is the fate of photographer of the day, your face will appear so much lesser than others, sometime even none.

The sun was too glaring, we couldn't open our eyes !

Beauty and the Beast, I know you hate me :P

Pear, posting for Pound to capture her photo.

She is very particular when taking her photos. Not for Pound, that's the reason why I have so many photos of Pound and so little of Pear ~

Jason - The only way to snap my face !

Unfinished statue and the Thais !

Yeah, now I got four faces, but I am not the forth :(

The sun was really strong, we drove back to Han Chiang and bought a cream for Pound to apply his burning skin.

Han Chiang !!
The place where filled with sweet memories :)

I have to emphasize that I do not admire him, there are just too many photos of him ! Whose fault? Pear !

Our dearest teacher - Ah Lai ! Ass-es will miss him

Tai Guo Chan

Woo, this is my favourite but it is expensive. Like that costs me RM5, come'on, they really earn a lot !

Chiu Chen wants to study this book again !

The New Library

Frankly, the new library is not as good as the old one. It is so much smaller and kind of weird, it doesn't really look like a library.

Sorry man, I have no choice.

After visiting Han Chiang, I dropped them back then Chiu Chen fetched them to Gurney while I went home to finish my assignment and passed it up. Coming down from TARc, drove to Gurney picked them up. We almost late for the Han Chiang football competition because of traffic jam.

If you follow my blog, you know this dog

Snap shot of Pear

We were watching Han Chiang football competition at this moment.

Pound - Fon - Pear were enjoying the game

The percussion played by other Thais.

Frankly, they scared me at first as they shouted very loudly = ="... hahah, speechless

Prison breaks.

Jason on the field. Thanks Pound for this photo

The ball

If I don't get wrong, our Han Chiang team lose to Malay team. Too bad, our HC football team was quite good. Maybe the rain the lack of luck.

Pear paid attention to the game.

Guess she will complain again? Hahah, she always complain her photo doesn't look nice but I don't think so. Love this very much :)

Football game in HC.
I guess the kid must be wondering what was this Koko doing.

Han Chiang Entrance
This is where I used to wait my mum to fetch me for the first year in Han Chiang.I never knew it looks beautiful in the evening...

The Last Night in Penang

Where is it? Yes, we went to Mois

Unbelievable for Jason? Believe it, even I seldom go clubbing. Hahahah

See the Mu's shaking,shaking,shaking

Last Night, Last Beer

After the night, I fetched them from Gurney park, dropped Pound at Fon's house then waited the Pear's plane with her while eating Dim Sam in the airport. We were the only one we ate dim sam in airport, the special one.

Last day, Last Pear

Pear entered the airport at 10a.m.
Good bye my friend, Pound and Pear.

They have gone !
